About Us

At Cool Kids Rooms, we’re husband and wife team, Dom and Leith, with 3 children between 5 and 10 years old.  We understand that your time is precious, so we’ve created a new business to help busy parents like us create fabulous and stylish bedrooms for tweens (an age group often overlooked).

Leith (that’s me!) is CFO and business owner, full time Mum and newly enthusiastic kitchen gardener – doing my best to NOT kill all the plants in the hot Brisbane weather (my track record in the last two years is pretty dismal).  Dom runs the business as CEO and business owner, as well as being hands on dad and stock market dabbler (he is not yet ready to fully relinquish his days of working in the city in London)!  We moved away from the cold European winters in 2010 so our kids could have the outdoors lifestyle we so wanted for them – and we haven’t looked back!

The idea for this business struck me several years ago when I was looking for a coverlet for our then 7 year old son.  There really wasn’t much on the market that suited his sports mad personality, or really very much that suited the tween age group (I kept thinking “too young” or “too old”).

So, we set out to source designs from elsewhere, and then decided that we should create our own designs as well.  Our Sportsmen and Apples designs are the first in our own range, designed here in Australia by a wonderful young designer, and we hope that you and your children will love them as much as we, and our children, do.
